It seems that the competition in Pakistan’s telecom industry is heating up with country’s biggest telecom giants, Zong and Mobilink, competing head-to-head in the war of marketing and advertising. Zong is making quick strides towards capturing public attention by starting its new marketing campaign after roll-out of Jazz’s astonishing advertisement anthem, “Hum Jazz Hain”. It is recently reported that Zong released a new marketing campaign that directly hits Jazz by telling people to Ride the Right Network.
Subsequently, Zong and Jazz being 4G competitors, are making their efforts to acquire competitive edge over each other. Jazz recently released TVC on its farewell ceremony to Mobilink and Warid which was much appreciated by the consumers across the country. Now Zong plans to bring the ball back into its court by imitating Jazz recent advertisement.
It is clearly visible from the above picture that the green sports car represents Zong, while the red older car symbolizes slow network speed of Mobilink. In addition, Zong asked the consumers to choose the right network which is four times faster than the other.
Interestingly, telecom companies have been hitting each other through such advertisements for quite some time. For instance, previous advertisement of Jazz featuring Nargis Fakhri was trolled by Ufone. In contrast, Ufone took advantage of the Nargis Fakhri advertisement, which had become a widely discussed topic on social media to create a hilarious version of the advert. Ufone made a new advertisement featuring Faisal Qureshi posed in the exact same manner as Nargis Fakhri. In any case, it seems that the telecom operators in the country are busy in “media war” these days.
