In an attempt to entice potential customers, JazzCash has introduced Visa Debit Card for its mobile account customers. The move indicates that the telecom giant is working hard to achieve its market objectives.
The newly introduced Visa Debit Card of JazzCash will be linked to the mobile accounts of the customers. This move will enable customers to purchase various items at more than 49,000 outlets across the country where Visa cards are accepted.
Speaking at the launch event, Aniqa Afzal Sandhu, Chief Digital & Financial Services Officer of Jazz said that “as a leading provider of Digital Financial Services, at JazzCash we realize the importance of enabling retail purchase transactions and with the launch of Visa Debit Card we have taken a major step in this direction.”
“This is an exciting one of a kind partnership for Visa in Pakistan where customer’s debit card will be linked to their Mobile Wallet and we are pleased to partner with JazzCash to enable this. This is the latest in our efforts to bring more Pakistanis into the financial mainstream, a move we believe enhances the welfare of individuals, merchants, and the economy as a whole,” said Kamil Khan, Visa Country Head for Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The new service primarily focuses on the unbanked population of Pakistan, who access their mobile accounts via smartphones in order to withdraw or deposit funds using a network of more than 70,000 JazzCash Agents across Pakistan. Moreover, the telecom giant claims that JazzCash caters all the basic financial needs of its customers including money transfer/deposit, bill payments, mobile top-up, insurance and others.
To avail this service you need to have a JazzCash mobile account, which can be registered for free by dialing *786# from your Jazz or Warid number. On the contrary, subscribers of other networks have to register their mobile accounts via biometric verification at Jazz Experience Centers.
