Jazz came under the spotlight as the telecom giant recently announced to launch ride booking service, “mLift”. The news depicts that the competition in the country’s on-demand ride hailing industry is rising at a constant pace.
When user asks for taxi by dialing the respective number, the telecom giant will find a taxi near to rider’s locations. Whereas, it is important to mention that users need a smartphone that supports GSM feature to be facilitated by this new service.
Many reports indicate that the main game plan of the telecom giant is to compete aggressively for the market share in the industry against key market players, such as Uber and Careem, by focusing on building a digital bridge for its customers.
Jazz launched this service only in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. However, the company plans to expand the service in several other cities in Pakistan to help their valued customers.
Interestingly enough, the news has ignited excitement among consumers as many people started to rely on the ride on-demand service to resolve their commute issues. In addition, the recent merger agreement between Warid and Mobilink has strengthened its market position and its boasts of 50 million users in Pakistan.
Those who are interested in booking a ride should take following steps:
- Dial 7555 from your Jazz number
- Negotiate Fare
- Take ride and enjoy
- Give your feedback by dialing 7555 and pressing digit
The payment module will follow the conventional procedure whereby the fare will go directly to the drivers and nothing will add into company’s tab. However, it is worth mentioning that driver will charge PKR 10 + tax per ride to the company. Also, we got a good news for drivers as they will not be charged till 31st Jan, as part of company’s service promotion.
