EatOye, Pakistan’s most popular food ordering app by Nauman Sikandar and Rai Umair, is now being re-branded to Foodpanda, another food ordering giant that acquired EatOye back in 2015, however, as per the terms of the acquisition agreement both companies decided to operate under separate brand names.
Launched back in 2012, the food delivery service experienced a major hype amongst the food lovers in the country. Being the first food delivery app in Pakistan, the company gained significant tractions amongst people and attracted one of the largest international food ordering companies, Foodpanda towards its acquisition in FY15.
After operating separating for two years, EatOye decided to undergo a rebranding to join Foodpanda. The food delivery app, Foodpanda, is currently active in 24 nations worldwide with approximately 40,000 restaurant partners.
Nauman Sikandar Mirza, CEO foodpanda and Founder of EatOye! said, “It just makes sense. We have been part of Foodpanda for a few years now and love being part of this family. Everything at Foodpanda is about making the ordering experience better – which has always been our mission at EatOye!.”
The move to rebrand EatOye to Foodpanda will likely result in migration to an updated version of the website along with the release of an app, in a bid to allow its customers to order the food wherever and whenever they want.
