China sees huge trade opportunities with Pakistan
Pakistan has remained under the shadow of many developed nations in terms of bilateral trade, but it seems that it might about to change. Many reports have been swirling around that China sees huge potential of trade opportunities with Pakistan in furniture sector.
Yesterday, the leader of high ranking Chinese business delegation, Luo Qiang, said that there is big scope for further enhancements of bilateral trade between Pakistan and China in furniture sector. Also, he encouraged the private sectors of both nations to focus on establishing joint ventures in a bid to upgrade the business ties.
Subsequently, the report indicates that CPEC has proved to be extremely fruitful for Pakistan as many developed nations like Russia and China are taking interest in establish bilateral trade relation with the country. During the visit to 6th Interiors Pakistan Exhibition at Expo Center, Mr. Qiang commended the quality of calligraphy used on the furniture and also admit the fact that the local furniture items produced in Pakistan have a great demand in several other international markets.
Moreover, as per Mr. Qiang, the main purpose of his to visit Pakistan was to exchange the views with the business community of Pakistan and explore new opportunities. He also said that many investors from China are planning to set up industrial units in Pakistan and they will also give preference to local people for jobs, which eventually help the country by reducing the unemployment. Also, Pakistan and China shares border and have a collective population of approximately 1.5 billion people, however, the trade activity between the two nations need to experience boost.
Luo Qiang said, “The country has excellent craftsmen and designers, who can virtually give life to a piece of wood.” “Pakistani craftsmen should work in this particular area to earn much-needed foreign exchange,” he added.
